My Baby and Me is a class designed for caregivers
strengthen their bond with babies, while the little ones
develop motor skills, color identification and
textures, as well as their artistic expression.

Parents, family members or guardians of the baby will learn basic concepts of art, the lives of different artists and their techniques, while helping their babies explore various tools to create lines, shapes, stains and ideas on paper.

Some of the artists we will see are:

  1. Piet Mondrian a. Focus: Lines and primary colors b. Key concepts: Understand the use of lines and primary colors (red, blue, yellow) to create abstract compositions.
  2. Mark Rothko a. Focus: Shapes and secondary colors b. Key concepts: Explore the use of shapes (forms) and secondary colors (green, orange, purple) to express emotion and depth in abstract art.
  3. Vincent van Gogh a. Focus: Texture and complementary colors b. Key concepts: Analyze how texture is created with brush strokes and the use of complementary colors (opposite colors on the color wheel) to achieve vibrant and dynamic works.
  4. Wassily Kandinsky a. Focus: Circles and analogous colors b. Key concepts: Study the use of circles in compositions and the application of analogous colors (adjacent colors on the color wheel) to achieve harmony and unity in abstract art.
  5. Jackson Pollock a. Focus: Splatter and action painting techniques b. Key concepts: Explore the process of creating art through physical movement and spontaneity, using splashes, drips, and layers of paint to express energy and emotion.
  6. Joan Miró a. Focus: Shapes and symbols b. Key concepts: Introduce abstract shapes, playful symbols, and whimsical figures to inspire the imagination. Encourage babies to create their own interpretations of familiar objects in a colorful, dreamlike style.
  7. Pablo Picasso a. Focus: Cubism and faces b. Key concepts: Understand how to deconstruct and reassemble faces and objects using geometric shapes. Encourage babies to experiment with creating portraits and abstract shapes.
